Mr. Harrison is Sheriff of Greene County, an elected position he has held since 2016. A native and resident of Union Point, Ga., his professional experience includes managing day-to-day operations of the Sheriff’s Office and jail, plus years of service in military and civilian law enforcement.

Prior to being elected Sheriff, Mr. Harrison served for 19 years as a deputy sheriff with the Greene County Sheriff’s Office, including such diverse roles as patrol, crime investigation, traffic control and accident investigation, transport, and serving claims, subpoenas, summonses and other court orders.

During his nearly nine years of military service, he served as a Military Policeman with the Georgia Army National Guard, 178th MP Company, in Monroe, Ga., and at the 502nd MP Company at Ft. Hood, Texas. In addition, he served as a senior military customs inspector for the 42nd MP Group out of Baumholder, Germany, and as an MP for 24th, then 3rd, Bravo Company Law Enforcement Command at Ft. Stewart, Ga.

A graduate of John Hancock Academy in Sparta, Ga., Mr. Harrison is a Georgia Certified Police Officer, a US Army Military Police Officer, and a Senior Military Customs Inspector.
