St. Mary's Wellness Center is the regions only medical fitness center. We believe in the pursuit of health
and wellness for all. We want to be part of your journey. Our facility is open to the public and is a large
fully equipped gym with a wide range of group fitness classes. Book a session of personal training, massage
therapy, enroll in a medical wellness program with a licensed professional (with a physician referral). Let
us assist you in your pursuit of health and wellness.

The Wellness Center gym features well-maintained cardiovascular and strength-training equipment. All cardio
machines include state-of-the-art LCD consoles for fingertip control as well as instant access to TV, radio
and inspiring landscapes. Our free weight room is available for you to customize your strength-training
workout with more than 20 Life Fitness machines in the main gym area.

Group Fitness Classes


St. Mary’s Wellness Center offers a wide range of fitness classes included in your membership. Classes are a fun way
to meet other people, exercise, and feel good about getting in shape or recovering after injury, illness or surgery.

Classes are free for members and open to non-members for a small fee. We provide various levels of impact and
challenge; choose the class or classes that best meet your needs.

Pilates

Mat based class that focuses on the core to build strength, endurance and flexibility.

Forever Fit

A fun-filled throwback chair class, with optional standing aerobic & balance work. Use light weights,
Resist-a-Ball, and bands to sculpt followed by a seated stretch.

Stretch and Strengthen

Increase your range of motion, strength and balance in this class focusing on stretching and either
sculpting or balancing work.

Sculpt

Sculpting of the legs, the arms, and the abs. Utilizing body weight and hand weights.

Tread & Stretch

30 minutes on the treadmill performing hills, climbs, and sprints followed by 15 min of stretch.

Triple Fit

Three segments focusing on cardio, sculpting, core, or stretching.

Fire

Fire up your balance and flexibility, using the body bar, light weights, ball, step, and/or band. Levels
shown for beginner, intermediate, and advanced.

Step and Sculpt

An energizing cardio step class that includes upper body sculpting and stretching.

Cardio & Stretch

Similar to stretch & strengthen, but with a cardio section that can be adjusted for low impact.
Cardio Express = 30 min.

Ball & Stretch

45 minute class - includes abs, legs, and body weight exercise using the Resist-a-Ball followed by a
gentle stretch.

Tabata HIIT

High Intensity Interval Training is a heart pumping, sweat-filled class of intense cardio and/or sculpt
intervals. Low impact levels shown. Tabata HIIT Express = 30 min.

Gentle Flow Yoga

Simple flowing sequences to warm up the body, as well as slower paced movements focusing on alignment,
strength, balance and flexibility.

Step

Simple and fun step routines that will get your heart pumping.

Chair Yoga

A gentle form of yoga that can include both sitting and standing poses. A chair will be used as support
during the standing poses.

Cardio Sculpt

High energy cardio class combining athletic aerobic movements with strength building exercises using
weights, bands, and/or a Resist-a-Ball.

Body composition testing, blood pressure screening, and circumference measuring are all part of the
services offered
to members. The friendly staff and trainers are more than happy to help you set up a specialized
exercise plan that
will help ensure a safe workout designed to meet your needs and medical limitations. Most services are
included in
basic membership; members receive a discount for others. For information about our services and

Personal training packages or individual sessions assist you with motivation, provide additional
instruction and help ensure you achieve your fitness goals. All of our personal trainers are nationally
certified through some of the most respected certifying organizations in the nation. Charges for
personal training are among the lowest in the region.

Certified massage therapists with medical massage experience are available by appointment for a small
fee. Discounted rates are offered to Wellness Center members, outpatient rehab clients and St.
Mary’s employees.

Post Rehabilitation

Post Rehabilitation is an exercise program for individuals that have completed physical therapy, and
who are referred
by their therapist or physician to continue their plan of care. The program focuses on functional
strength training
for individuals recovering from joint replacement, stroke, and many other conditions. Sessions are
offered in group
settings as well as one on one. Hours: Weekdays by appointment only.

Phase III Cardiac Rehab

Phase III Cardiac Rehab is an exercise program for individuals who have made good progress in their
recovery or who
have successfully completed a Phase II program and want to continue to reduce their risk of future
cardiac issues.
The program emphasizes exercise and education to maintain a healthy lifestyle.

You will participate in regular exercise classes at St. Mary’s Wellness Center, where the staff will
work with you to
develop and maintain a fitness plan tailored to your individual needs and goals. During classes, you
will be able to
move freely through the Wellness Center’s spacious exercise area and will be monitored by trained
staff in case any
problems arise. Education about lifestyle choices, healthy eating, stress reduction, and more is
available on an
ongoing basis.

Hours: Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 7:00 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. and 1:00 p.m.-3:30
p.m.

Phase III Pulmonary Rehabilitation

Phase III Pulmonary Rehabilitation is a class-based, lifelong maintenance program aimed at helping
those living with
chronic pulmonary conditions prevent complications and stay at their peak level. Utilization of
cardiovascular
training and equipment allows for the potential to decrease the progression of pulmonary diseases
and can lead to an
overall greater quality of life.

Hours: Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 7:00 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. and 1:00 p.m.-3:30
p.m.

Note to participants: Each program requires a signed physician’s referral
stating current
diagnosis of cardiac, pulmonary, or other qualified condition. Prior Phase II participation for
Cardiac and
Pulmonary Rehabilitation is preferred, but not required.


Memberships and Fees


  • Memberships are available to those who are 16 years of age and older. Ages 12-15 years old may
    use the facility under the supervision of a parent or legal guardian who has a current membership.
  • Annual Maintenance Fee: An annual maintenance fee of $35 will be applied to each membership;
    $25 per year for military/1st responders
  • Enrollment Fee: Charged to new members and members who are re-joining after cancellation of 6
    months or more.
  • Family Membership Policy: Family members are defined as three or more family members that
    reside at the same address. Proof of residency is required.
  • Monthly Memberships: Required to be paid via credit card or bank draft. All drafts occur on the
    3rd of the month. No long term agreement required, but payment will continue until client signs cancellation
    form or changes membership plan. Cancellation must be made in writing 5 or more business days prior to 3rd of
    month.
  • Guest passes are available for $5 each.
  • Corporate Rates: Contact the director for corporate membership rates. Financial Assistance is
    available for Mercy Health Care referrals and those eligible for Charity Care Payroll deduct is available for
    full-time employees.
