Hospitalization can be a lonely and stressful experience, and receiving a heartfelt message from a friend or family member can provide much-needed comfort and support. Sending an eCard to a loved one who is an inpatient at one of the three St Mary’s hospitals can be a simple yet meaningful gesture to let them know that you are thinking of them and wishing them well. It is also a popular and convenient way to communicate with loved ones, especially those who are unable to receive visitors.
At St. Mary’s, we have eCard options for you. From our website, you would select a card design and complete the form to help us customize the card with a personalized message. Our volunteers will transfer your message to one of our cards and hand-deliver the card to the patient on your behalf. Please note there are limitations to the service. Card requests sent after 12 p.m. will not be delivered until the following business day. Cards sent on Saturday and Sunday will not be delivered until Monday.
As a reminder, e-Cards are only for patients currently admitted to one of our facilities. The content of your e-Card is NOT confidential, so it should not contain personal or medical information. If the e-Card recipient/patient has been discharged or transferred from our facility or if we receive incorrect contact information about the patient, your message will not be delivered, and the patient will not be notified of your message.
This is a new service for our team, and we are learning as we go. Feel free to send us feedback and suggestions.
