I was going to Dr. Stevens for about a year and my insurance got canceled. He is such a good doctor that I was willing to pay cash to see him. That means a lot nowadays when cash is very thin thanks to the Democrats.

While well versed sometimes gives impression that he may be inerrant and a bit flippant. Not a big problem but as relatively new patient having to adjust to his personality.

I was told by Dr. Stephens that since I was 75, I didn't need to see him on a regular basis. I explained I thought an annual visit was recommended especially since Medicare recommends that. He indicated I only needed to see him if I had a problem.

After describing my difficulty with breathing, Dr. Stephens proposed that I get a CT scan of my heart and arteries. His observation was exactly correct. Prior doctors including Hospital care have never suggested the possibiity of blocked arteries. This was a serious ommission by others, but Dr. Stephens suspected it right away.
