Teen Summer Volunteer Program
Our Teen Summer Volunteer Program at St. Mary’s Health Care System provides an excellent chance for high school students to explore careers in health care while giving back to their community. Teen volunteers assist with a variety of non-medical duties throughout the hospital. To apply, teens must be 16 years old by March 1 of the year they wish to volunteer.

How to Apply
Interested teens should submit the online application and complete the requirements below by March 15. Applications are reviewed in late March, with final decisions made by April 15.
Note: Submitting an application and interviewing does not guarantee a volunteer position. Spaces are limited.
Application Requirements:
- Complete our online application
- Submit two sealed recommendation letters:
- One from a teacher regarding academic achievements
- One from a guidance counselor indicating GPA
- Submit Immunization Record (must have 2 MMRs)
- If selected, provide proof of a negative TB test (within the last 12 months)
- Interview with the St. Mary’s Volunteer Services Coordinator
- Attend mandatory orientation if selected
