Appointment Information
All patients are scheduled by appointment only. Although we try to honor your appointment time, we hope you understand emergencies arise. If there are delays, we will inform you as soon as possible. If you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment, please do so as soon as possible.
If you are a new patient coming into our office, please arrive at your appointment 30 minutes early to allow for the completion of registration. If your insurance plan requires prior approval for services, please be sure to obtain your referral before your visit. Please keep us updated with any changes to your name, address, telephone number, or insurance information to maintain accurate information in your medical record.
Please give our staff 24-hours notice if you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment. Athens General & Colorectal Surgeons may charge you a no-show fee of $20 if the 24-hour notice is not provided.
Due to significant flood damage, our Athens office has temporarily relocated to a freestanding building behind St. Mary’s Hospital at 1230 Baxter Street. As you enter the hospital campus, follow the signs to reach our clinic. Parking for AGCS patients is available at the temporary location. Please do NOT park in the hospital deck or go into the hospital to register. This change does not affect our offices in Lavonia or Greensboro. Thank you for your patience as we strive to continue providing top-quality patient care in our limited temporary space.
