Our Mission
The mission of the Center for Rehabilitative Medicine is to provide compassionate, effective and socially responsible patient care in a safe environment. We work continuously to improve that care by enhancing quality and cost effectiveness, and above all, by delivering the care for our patients that we would want for our own families.
Our Commitment to You
The Center for Rehabilitative Medicine is a team of healthcare professionals working together to serve people with functional disabilities, their families, and the community, along with St Mary’s Health Care System. We are helping our patients reach their full potential for independent living through education, therapeutic activities, and quality medical care. This mission is accomplished by following these overall program goals:
- Provide a program that recognizes the individual and adjusts to their needs
- Seek input from those we serve so that the program may reflect their needs and change over time
- Continue to look for ways to improve our program
- Employ a treatment staff that is knowledgeable and able to work with other healthcare staff to provide the best care possible
- Provide a financially sound program
Located on the 5th floor of St. Mary’s Hospital, the 20-bed unit includes an Activities of Daily Living kitchen and a rehab gym. Patients participate in at least three hours of therapy per day with continual bedside education.
St. Mary’s Center for Rehabilitative Medicine works with patients recovering from more than 25 conditions, including: brain injury, amputation, joint replacement or disease, stroke, and spinal cord injury.
